We have produced a resource in partnership with Play Scotland, Writing a Play Policy. This was a key action in our local play strategy, though the document has relevance to any setting around the country where children play.

Background

​

On 6th December 2016, Midlothian launched its first play strategy. Midlothian Council and Play Midlothian led on the development of this document, with the involvement of a cross-sector and cross-departmental working group.

​

Parents and a wide range of professionals across the public, voluntary and business sectors have a role in ensuring children have access to play. The strategy encompasses all places children might play in Midlothian.
