We will soon launch a new service, yet to be named, aimed at supporting children's mental health through the power of play in nature. 

There is evidence that self-directed play, in particular opportunities for children to take on challenges, help children to build resilience and manage stress. The benefits of nature to mental health are also well evidenced, and natural spaces such as woodlands also happen to be great places for self-directed play. 

We are already working with schools to provide support within the school day, but will soon make available after school sessions. We will work with children beginning to show signs they would benefit from support. The aim is to support children early, long before they require more intensive or specialist support.
